Claim to Fame #1: I took Ralston to our Prom (How'd I do dat?)

Claim to Fame #2: Never had a job since college (is that 37 years???). I figured out some way to sell paintings all of those years. I exist at the fickle whims of the bourgeoisie.
I mostly now paint oddball, casual family portraits, many times depicting 3 or 4 generations. My last painting had 31 portraits in it. (check out my Website if you are interested)

I have had a studio at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria VA, for 25 years and live near Mt Vernon.
We have a house on Lake Louisa, near Lake Anna (Do any of the rest of you go there?) where we spend time Wake boarding, fishing, laying around in a hammock and hanging out with friends and extended family.

I play tennis (a real sport.... unlike old-guy, riding in cart golf) and also enjoy fishing, boating and shooting pool.
I play a lot of guitar (old hollow body Vox, or a Les Paul) mostly jamming extended Blues/Jazz patterns with my 3 boys, who have ALL surpassed my skill level. I play mostly the same riffs that I learned in the 70's and 80's, a classic case of musical arrested development.

I helped start a church with Rusty Coram 18 years ago ...(remember him? HHS Class of '71 Alumni) There's a great photo of him and Lee Ellison, in short skirts in our yearbook. Funny how they both turned out to be preachers! (New Hope Church, Lorton, VA)
There were 16 adults in the beginning, now there are over 1200 attending per Sunday. Rusty is a inspiring, challenging (and humorous) speaker. You can hear his sermons on the New Hope website (how's that plug, Rus?) By the way, Rusty married my sister, Becky!
